Yahoo! search marketing is the top way to get listings in Yahoo! With the dominance of Google, Yahoo!'s market share has been cut in half, down to eleven percent. It is so bad that the market share has even sunk as far as single digits on occasion. Although they seem to be battling each other, Yahoo! and Google work hand in hand. Yahoo! already has quite a bit of shares in Google. To get into their index, Google would even suggest listings from the Yahoo! directory.
